     Findadog.com is here for a number of reasons, but its primary purpose is to heighten public awareness of the benefits of properly caring for a pet and to help teach our nation's youth the responsibilities of owning, caring for, and nurturing a pet--and that the love they give their pet will be returned to them many times over. Specifically, the web site is here to educate prospective owners about the type of dog best suited for them. With the right kind of information provided before people purchase pets, it is our great hope that we can match people with the right pets for their lifestyle and that the result will be a long-lasting, loving relationship, thereby preventing the 7.5 million dogs and cats that are put to sleep each year because owners made uninformed decisions before investing in their pet.
